Italian Job I, painted by Tony
Smith and printed in 1994 has just been sold by The Paint Box
Gallery in
Worcester for the staggering
sum of £3000.
This
is possibly the highest price for a photo-litho print by a
living artist. The print would first have sold for around £175.

Italian Job are series of prints that
feature the famous red mini immortalised by Michael Caine in the
classic 1969 film. As a result of the movie's cult status and
recent re-make, demand for the prints has escalated.
